Because it stays intact and doesn’t dissolve quickly, it won’t cloud the water and often encourages the growth of biofilm, which shrimp naturally feed on. It’s suitable for Caridina and Neocaridina shrimp, and is also readily accepted by snails and other peaceful bottom dwellers.
